Consultation
The Consultation service involves providing professionals of organizations with necessary stimuli to help them perceive problems from different perspectives (i.e., a solvable viewpoint), as well as guide them through a process in which their creativity is evoked and systematically applied to generate innovative solutions for problems. For example, the Consultation service can be utilized to provide professionals of organizations with education about psychological problems among their clientele, as well as strategies of how to address these issues within the parameters of their organizations. Action plans, a series of follow-up procedures, and maintenance interventions typically come out of the Consultation service.
Team Building
FPA offers training on team building either via consultation to support managers in developing team building exercises among their staff or through a series of small or large group trainings or workshops. The goal of this service is to increase self-awareness and awareness of co-workers' strengths and weaknesses as it relates to their tasks and interpersonal responsibilities. Additionally, FPA associates teach skills to enhance the interpersonal relationships of co-workers by building upon their knowledge of teamwork and providing them with tools necessary to carry out team goals. Our consultation and training services are designed to create more effective, efficient, and cohesive teams to improve productivity and performance, as well as promote a positive work environment.
Skills Coaching
Skills Coaching simply requires FPA associates helping clients develop skills that are essential in completing projects or tasks. Some examples of skills that FPA associates have helped professionals, laypersons, and youth develop in the past are teamwork, personality assessment, communication and modes of persuasion, critical and analytical thinking, problem-solving, networking, group facilitation, coaching, basic risk assessment, etc.
Performance Coaching
Performance Coaching entails FPA associates gaining a clear understanding of the competencies that clients are utilizing to achieve a task, and augmenting these competencies, many times threefold.
Developmental Coaching
Developmental Coaching is frequently offered when clients have or are on the verge of being promoted to a higher level, or given a task that is significantly different or more challenging than the typical projects they are assigned. Clients are guided through an in-depth process to develop necessary skills that will allow them to successfully accomplish tasks ahead of them.
Mediation
Mediation entails FPA associates resolving fractious interactions between two or more people that have negative affects on their productivity and/or performance. FPA also facilitates emotionally charged meetings between groups of people (e.g., between managers, managers and staff, or staff and clients).
Performance Enhancement Training
FPA increases Affect-Related Skills in professionals through a series of strategically designed training seminars, discussions, and evaluations. Affect-Related Skills are defined by a compilation of non-intellectual competencies and abilities that play a pivotal role in successfully coping with environmental demands and pressures. These skills speak to a professional's capacity to appropriately adapt to changes, navigate and resolve social dilemmas, and progressively lead teams of people. An individual with good levels of Affect-Related Skills is able to motivate himself/herself and others, efficiently detect and manage emotions, tolerate high levels of stress, and is generally more effective in communicating and working with people. Competence in these skills are a must for individuals in leadership and management roles, as well as people working in complex and politically charged arenas.
